Meike Kathrin Zylmann was born 1975 in Hamburg, Germany.
Since 2012 she lives and works in Bodø, Norway. In 2004 she graduated from The Jutland Academy of Art in Aarhus, Denmark.

Her approach as a fine artist shines through in every picture. Meike sees the world with the eyes of an artist and transforms her experiences into unique works that express moods, emotions and stories. Whether it is the surreal encounter between a model and the endless blue, or an iceberg, which stands like a sculpture against the horizon, her photographs are testimony to a deep respect for nature and a passion for creating art with her camera. She also has 15 years of experience as a tour guide in Northern Norway.
